problem using nessus after live cd install

Hi,

After installing Backtrack ( live security cd with an option to install on HD)to my HD I am lots of problen starting nessus. I also need always to initiate it and each time create another user. as I understand initiating nessus should been done once, right?

Nessus was already installed in this CD I didnt have to install it byitself

I use nessus (Nessus) 2.2.6 for Linux

well when I initiate nesus I get this error:

Starting Nessus
log_init()pen : No such file or directory
Could not open the logfile, using stderr
dup2 : Bad file descriptor
fdopen : Bad file descriptor
Loading the plugins... 5151 (out of 9611)[6430]() Including crypto_func.inc which is not authenticated - losing our authenticated status
All plugins loaded
[Fri Feb 24 22:47:30 2006][6430] nessusd 2.2.6. started

Please help !

It looks like it's starting up fine (do ps aux | grep nessusd to be sure), but it can't open its log file so it's logging to stderr (the terminal on which it was run, generally). Are you starting nessusd as root? You need to.
