PINE and emails

I've recently setup sendmail on my machine. After using PINE I've noticed the following in my /var/log/maillog..

Mar 20 16:16:47 localhost sm-mta[5907]: j2KEMh47004906: to=<pine-count@docserver.cac.washington.edu>, delay=00:54:04, xdelay=00:00:04, mailer=esmtp, pri=300605, relay=docserver.cac.washington.edu. [140.142.32.171], dsn=2.0.0, stat=Sent (j2KFGgDv016332 Message accepted for delivery)

I've not sent anything nor know nothing of pine-count@docserver.cac.washington.edu, yet they appear in the log.

Can anybody shine some light on this?

Well,

If you truely didn't answer anything on the first time instance of pine, then it sent its usage statistic anyway.

Their faq on the matter is quite dated, but you could always ask them if anonymous usage statistics are sent automatically.

I say we burn em at the stake and ask their ashes our questions later.

/me gets torch.

I found this on there website. Its seems OK, but you've can't be too carefull..

Quote:
Pressing Return will send an anonymous (meaning, your real email address will not
be revealed) message to the Pine development team at the University of
Washington for purposes of tallying.
