Permissions resets
 
I'm running an proftpd server on Mandrake 10.0

i got a directory /home/ftp rwxr-x---

the file permissions keeps reseting to rwx------

anybody that has a clue why?

Are u root or just a normal user ? Give us some more clues dude, when do you loose the x-cute perm?

i set the x perm at about 22 last night today when i came home at about 18 it was back too rwx------

the /home/ftp folder is owned by user and group is ftpgroup (a group for all ftp users)

i'w tried setting the right permissions as booth root and user it still resets

This is likely your msec security level resetting permissions. You need to modify the msec config or write a custom msec override. Here is a good msec guide and HOWTO that should help:
