Permission Denied

the problem is when i install a game or app or any software that you have to start by running a executable i keep getting this message when i run the executable. ex.

Cannot launch entry

Details: Failed to execute child process "/media/Linapp/games/q3demo/q3demo" (Permission denied)

The permission on the file / folders are all set to read write and execute.

in order to install software you have to be a privileged user (in most sane distros, the only user that falls into this privileged category is the root user)

type
Code:
su root
and enter in the password, then try installing
