PAM with RADIUS and TACACS+

I plan to use PAM-RADIUS and PAM-TACACS+ to authenticate a user login. Helps are needed on the following topics:
1. Do I still need the passwd file to specify what shell the user shuold use? If not, how do I specify the shell to use?

2. Is there a way to catch an attribute returned from a server to decide on what shell to use for the user?

Many thanks in advance!

Hi, M,

Perhaps there is no such a solution to catch a return value, unless you change the code. But the GPL license ...
