Introduction to Linux - A Hands on Guide
This guide was created as an overview of the Linux Operating System, geared toward new users as an exploration tour and getting started guide, with exercises at the end of each chapter.
For more advanced trainees it can be a desktop reference, and a collection of the base knowledge needed to proceed with system and network administration. This book contains many real life examples derived from the author's experience as a Linux system and network administrator, trainer and consultant. They hope these examples will help you to get a better understanding of the Linux system and that you feel encouraged to try out things on your own.

i have a a problem with mandrake 10, kernel 2.6.4 and openswan 2.1.1.
When i start ipsec i see this error:
ipsec_setup: ...Openswan IPsec started
ipsec_plutorun: /usr/local/lib/ipsec/__plutorun: line 1: 3698 Segmentation fault
//Ignore if fixed/changed.
I think you should troubleshoot Openswan shell scripts starting it with "sh -x scriptname" and check that output. The fact __plutorun barfs on line 1 is weird, usually the first line is where you specify the interpreter.
I'm doing a training course on ipsec with linux 2.6. I will have to choose an IKE daemon, i think racoon or isakmpd for the moment. So I want to know why your are using OpenSwan, and what the others advice me.
PS: I search also informations about respect of RFC on ipsec implementation in linux 2.6 and compatibility with network equipments ...
From where I can download Openswan for my RHEL 5. Please if possible, give me installation and configuration manaul. I will be thankful.
Please don't hijack other threads (or in this case revive old threads), Instead open your own one to get the attention it needs. I'll report this to the mods so they can put it in a thread of it's own.
zaeem, please don't post the same thing in multiple forums. Also, don't hijack other people's threads and/or resurrect dead ones. Seriously, even if you're a brand new member this sort of thing should be common sense. Thread closed.
