OpenPGP vs. GPG(please comment)

hey guys,
I have to install either GPG or OpenPGP on my departments machines and i was jsut wondering which one is a better option.
i dont know much about encryption alogrithms but it seems like gpg is openpgp compliant.what does that mean?
i have used GPG before and i liked it but i want to know which one will be easier to manage over a large network of machines.
thank you

GnuPG (GPG) is a complete implementation of the OpenPGP encryption scheme.

OpenPGP is an encryption standard (RFC 2440).

When they say GnuPG is OpenPGP compliant they mean it follows RFC 2440 and will be compatible with any other program that follows RFC 2440.
