Well here my question

I turn off all my service i don't need and i still get 100 port open.Could that because i useing a dsl modem?:newbie:

Are you sure you got them all off? Have you used the netstat command to make sure that nothing is listening on port 100?

I have the same problem. Port 25 and 21 are shown as open when I scan remotely. There is no service listening on that port and I have the firewall set to explicityl block those 2 ports. I think it is my cable modem that shows them open, but I'm not sure.

So to answer question: It could be the modem.... or not.... But I know I have similar behavior that really seems to be the fault of my modem.

A lot of times if you're on broadband and you scan from the outside (i.e. somewhere on the Internet) you'll actually hit a proxy server that your broadband provider is running. Many of them proxy services, or just flat out intercept and divert them.
