Newbie doesnt know how to reactivate firewall in Suse 9.2

Great! Im a total idiot when it comes to Linux. BF put this on pc when he built computer. Had some problems with sharing, was told to go and deactivate firewall in yast. Which I did. Didnt really help me out, so I need to reactivate it. When I go into yast, I dont have that option, sooo, what now. I really dont have a clue. Bad thing is. I know absolutely nothing when it comes to commands or anything to do with pc. Need help!! I run Linux Suse 9.2.

Hi

Welcome to Linux Questions

Bringing the suse firewall back up is nice and easy with yast, once you've worked out where they've hidden it. open yast, and go 2 the 'Security and Users' tab on the left, and you will see the firewall option in the main panel, click it and you should see the option to 'Start Firewall Now'. You may also want to tick the 'Start firewall when booting' box, so its enabled when you start your machine. Then simply click next, and then accept, and your done. This works in SUSE 9.3, i'd imagine its pretty much the same in 9.2
