What version of honeyd? What scripts (where)?
Where do these scripts fail? Any error output?

Checked out Provos' contrib page? It says it "partially" offers an old Wu-ftp. Checked out any mailinglist archives like http://seclists.org/lists/honeypots/2003/ ?
