Hi,

My laptop has a redhat 9 on it, several days ago my PC was controlled by other machine, when I login, it always display S06000fd..... instead of localhost, and speed is very slow, if I unplug the network cable, it becomes OK, any body know how to get rid of the control. It's really bad you can't control your PC.

Hi Chris68, welcome to LQ.

Could you explain at bit more? It shows "S06000fd" instead of localhost where, at the bash prompt? How do you know it's being controlled by someone else, aside from being slow? Showing us something like the output of tcpdump or netstat -pantu might help as well.
