This may not be a security issue but it may. Has anyone heard of a user and or group name on Redhat 9.0 called 8482.
The MozillaFirebird directory I just created to install the said browser has that name and group associated with it.
I googled for a while and couldn't figure it out. I just seems fishy.
Any reply welcome.
TIA

I couldn't find it in /etc/passwd or /etc/group. That's what puzzled me. I didn't realize somebody outside my system could be the owner of one of my files. Would it be safe to change the owner. It just makes me nervous.
