I want to make a network drive available to Windows, with the data encrypted within the linux host. As such, even if my linux server is hacked, I won't lose the sensitive data.
Does anyone know how to do it? Is squashfs/samba/putty combination enough to achieve this? Can anyone give me some ideas to start?
Yes, that would be an approach that would meet your requirements.
oh! Thanks! would you please tell me how? Which components will I need to meet this? How can I do the encryption and decryption in Windows? Any open source choice?
