Exclamation licq ip reveal

my question is why licq shows my ip to other icq users/clients if i check out "i can recieve direct connections" and check in "Hide IP" ? at the point ive logged in, even if i didnt send any kind of message to others (nor direct nor through server). why? on another machine under windows with icq2003b i can easily turn off direct connections and therefore i cant see the ip of this client.

and a strange thing: if i start up licq with no config, the first time it logs in, it doesnt show the ip to other clients, but says everybody is offline too. (i can send anyone msgs without revealing the ip) but at the next login shows everbody's status well and my ip too... ((

why win client can does it and licq cant?
how can i solve this problem?
any ideia?

thx!
