ksoftirqd uses %100 cpu.

I think this server is getting ddos attack. I m using centos 5.2 final and when I would open switch port server would crash in 10-15 seconds. Do you have any suggestion for changing sysctl.conf or anything else for continuing to use OS. DDos atack has 50 mbit/second and this server has 1 gbit port. But OS cant use it. Ksoftirqd is starting to use cpu and than server is closing. at /var/log/messages I couldnt found any message about attack.

Are you sure this is related to an attack?

A quick google for 'ksoftirqd' turns up a long list of threads about this daemon eating up lots and lots of CPU. What I gleaned from a cursory look at a couple of them is there might be ksoftirqd bugs that appear with certain hardware.
