Question keylogger?

How does one go about checking for a keylogger on their system.
I read somewhere to do an strace on your shell, but I tried and was a bit confused . Anybody have experience in this?

What makes you think your system is being keylogged? If it's your own box, I'd run "chkrootkit" first... if it's not rooted, it's unlikely that anyone would be able to replace your shell with one that logs keystrokes.

the post you replied to is FROM 2005 !!!

The best way to protect against keylogger and other spyware is to keep Windows , Anti-Virus and everything update and use genuine products.
this is a LINUX forum and not a Microsoft xp,vista,7 forum
" windows genuine products " are NOT linux software !!!!!
