I decided to experiment a little bit with Debian Sarge and how to set up a server with high security for some users.
The question is very simple: what are the most required kernel (2.6) patches besides grsecurity?
If you don’t want to go all-out grsec, you might try just the PaX part of it (consisting of address-space layout randomization and non-executable page enforcement) or maybe Exec Shield.
