K3b Hangs with FW Builder running

Hi,

After much messing around I have finally got my Suse 9.1 system up and running and got FW Builder running. So far I have some very basic rules running (Outgoing DNS and HTTP etc) but unless I have ANY <-> ANY ACCEPT in the rule base k3b hangs on startup.
Has anybody got any ideas what is causing this as it's really doing my head in. Does K3b have some tie in to the outside world that it needs to run?

Not to my knowledge, but you can sniff the suspected k3b traffic with ethereal or snort.

got it sorted now thanks. As the machine only has one interface the internal and external interfaces are the same. Ihad a rule going from it's IP address to it's ip address allowing everything. However K3B must do some form of communication on the loopback address as as soon as I added that into the rule as well k3b sprang inti life.
