iptables syntax quick question

I assume this syntax with the semi colon is a typo and should be a # sign?

This was taken off of the http://en.tldp.org/HOWTO/IP-Masquera...ABLES-STRONGER site.

Nice script it just errored out right on this line for me...

Code:

# Catch all rule, all other incoming is denied and logged.
#
$IPTABLES -A INPUT -s $UNIVERSE -d $UNIVERSE -j reject-and-log-it

; ---------------------------------------------------------------------

echo -e "  - Loading OUTPUT rulesets"

#######################################################################
# OUTPUT: Outgoing traffic from various interfaces.  All rulesets are
#        already flushed and set to a default policy of DROP.
#

yes it is a typo, although it shouldn't cause harm to the script overall . One line of the output would say "command not found", and the script would continue on and work properly. You may want to email the site's admin to have them fix it.
