Where can I find a good instrusion detection system for Application and Host based with functions on monitoring, warning in advance, attack statistic, etc. apart from follows;

Cheops-ng
Firestorm IDS
HonwyPot
MIDAS
Snort
Telemetry Box
Trinux

What is it exactly that you're after that those systems don't already provide?

Hi fouldsy,

Sorry I left out "IPS" (Intrusion Prevention System) on my posting.

I'm doing a survey on IDS and IPS software. Those mentioned are good for IDS. I think the next wave will be pharming attack.

http://www.tripwire.com/ - tripwire, another IDS their website also says it can respond accordingly, maybe another one to look at?? i believe it integrates well with snort
