Unhappy intruder ?

Hi, after I upgraded my desktop Asus with only Ubuntu on it, to 16.04 I got almost everyday with start up after boot log-in 'terminal' black screen with lots of stuff, when this is gone and before logging in Ubuntu 16.04 this same screen runs again. Then got Linux message to report a problem, again logging in and sending a report. Also got lots of updates and now I wonder if it would be better to take the whole off and download 16.04 again, don't know how but maybe this will solve it ? Tried roothunter, but find this is too complicated.
any suggestions will be very welcome

Difficult to understand what you're saying, but sounds like you might have video driver issues. What model ASUS do you have, or more importantly, what are the hardware specs?

Sometimes full system upgrades are problematic and produce the kind of glitches you are describing.
A complete new install might be the best way to go.
Since you only have ubuntu on your machine, a new install is relatively easy.

That's just the motherboard. Are you using a cpu that has onboard gpu, or are you using an add-in graphics card?

open a terminal and enter the following:
Code:
lspci -k
then copy the whole output, and paste it here.
