Hi! I have installed and config Snort at Fedora Core 2. I used the setup-manual at snort.org. Works fine. Only one problem left, I need more security at my Linux. Does anyone know a guide or something just for Fedora+snort. I dont want to turn off some services, files and so on......

Tanx for answer!

you should always turn off services you dont use.

may i recomend you also install "snort-snarf" it converts snort logs into a webpage of usefull statistics, and information on type of attacks, most common attack IP's and all the rest.

also, have a look at "Tripwire".. Tripwire is an IDS (intrusion detection system for your harddrive) whereas snort is an NIDS (network intrusion detection system)
