HTTPS/SSL reverse proxy/VPN software?

Hi, I was wondering if anyone knows of any good (and free/Free) HTTPS/SSL reverse proxy software?

When I used to work for a large software company, they had a web-based "VPN".

Essentially, they had one HTTPS VPN server that sat on the Internet. I could do something like:

https://vpn.company.com/internal-hos...com/index.html
and it would authenticate to vpn.company.com
and then proxy traffic to internal-host.company.com, wrapping it in SSL on the way out.

Any ideas?
