How to set Password for Configuration Access in Mandrake?

hey sup all. i deside not to have a password for access to my configuration in Mandrake Linux 9.0 because im th eonly who use this computer, but thought of the hackers who can get in and mess with it. how can i make one? thank you.

hackers? that'll be crackers thanks. hackers are lovely people.

you'll just be wanting to set the root password i take it? just log in as root (or run "su" as anyone else and then just use "passwd"
