How to recover deleted document from redhat Linux"
Dear Friends,
I had deleted one Document (used rm -rf)from my Redhat Linux 5 mistakenly.But now i need that Document,But I do not know how to recover that document.So kindly Explain my FRIENDS "How to recover deleted document from redhat Linux".

Even if you are lucky and can recover the file, maybe it’s a point to start thinking about a backup for valuable data. In this case also a local former version would have been helpful (maybe something like rdiff or rsnapshot).

depending on IF you used gedit to make the file there MIGHT be a auto saved back up IF you turned that on
hit < control> + < h> to show the hidden filed and look for a file by that name with a " ~ " after it's name

Can you explain why/how gedit creates the " ~ " files?
