How to make HTTPS dir accessible only from local network and one IP adress

Hi,
I am running on debian 3.1 with apache 1.3 and 2.5.
My https dir settings only allows me to access secure pages when I am in the local network. I want to be able to access these pages from home as well. I know I do not have static IP at home, but still would I be able to tweak https settings according to my needs? If so, where do I look?
Thanks in advance!

Set Apache to allow your whole home IP block and then put an authentication mechanism on it.

how do I add my ip block to apache so that it would accept me?

You google for Apache allow by IP

I googled the previous but I found stuff for http directory(or maybe I am assumed I did). Is there anything specific for https directories?
PS: my http dir is viewable to the world.
thanks
