how to add internet gateway for eth0 in shorewall

hi,

i am new to shorewall..... how do i add a gateway to eth0? eth0 is my wan nic, the static ip is 218.218.94.195, my gateway is 218.218.94.193...

how to add a policy to route my ip to go thru the gateway?

Please help!!

To add a gateway, you want to use the route command to manipulate the routing table. Iptables/shorewall is more for firewalling and manipulating packet header info. The actual routing decisions are still carried out by consulting the routing table info.

hi,

i use the route to add the gateway,

so my kernel ip routing table as below,

Destination Gateway Genmask Iface
218.218.94.195 * 255.255.255.224 eth0
192.168.42.0 * 255.255.255.0 eth1
default 218.218.94.193 eth0

I try to browse internet from one of my workstation is give me error msg, cannot find dns server.

any idea, what i have miss out?

please advice....
