How secure is Epiphany?

Due to problems with my Firefox install I have started using Epiphany. Apart from the obvious gnome interface I can't see a great deal of difference in use (speed, etc). I just wondered is Epiphany as secure as Firefox? I don't seem to see as many security updates.

Epiphany uses the Gecko rendering engine, which is currently part of the Firefox packages. So most vulnerabilities will apply to both, but will be listed against Firefox/Iceweasel, and will be fixed by updating those packages rather than the Epiphany packages.
