Question how many types of authentication methods are there in linux?


I am trying to learn more on linux security

I want to know how many authentication methods are there in linux and the security vulnerabilities of those authentication methods.

Hmm,

Kerberos
LDAP
RADIUS
TACACS+
PAM (I think this is a more of a front end).
I think there are others ... Securid ...


You will have to read up on each to figure out more details ... I would suggest getting a book on Security.
