how do i set a user disk quota

How can a set a certian user have a ceritan amount hard drive spacec?

First it has to be compiled into the kernel

If RedHat hasn't changed that it is already included in the standard kernels. At least it was until RedHat 7.x, which was the last release I used before switching to Debian :-)

Sorry but as far is I in RH9 it is not but I could be wrong

i just did a check and i have a bunch of quota commands, i have redhat 7.3 and it's in there i guess. i havent used it yet though.
