help with Tripiwre

Hi!
I'm a new in tripwire I need some help please.

I unsralled tripwire and edited the file /etc/tripwire/twpol.txt and inserted

severity = $(SIG_HI),emailto=jkuku@yahoo.com

so It will inform me if something is going on on the box without me knowing that.does tripwire logs thing to somewhere else in the box or it just sends mails?

what else I need to do so tripwire reads the file I just edited and starts protecting the box (fedora)? maybe reboot the machine?

thanks

I haven't used tripwire in a while, but logging usually is a configurable option.

Follow the instructions from the documentation. It's quite clear about initialisting stuff for the config to work.

maybe reboot the machine?
No, that's wintendo behaviour :-]
Rebooting should not be necessary.
