Firestarter Problems on Bootup

I Have Two (2) Questions, as follows:

(1) How do I get Firestarter to Load Everytime I load Kubuntu 7.10 gutsy......Without having to click on Icon on desktop??

(2)How can I get it to NOT ask me for my Root Password??

I am not afraid of someone getting on my computer here at home as it is only my wife & I here.
it is just a nuisance to have to type that in at each boot. And to have to click on it to load it each time.

are you confusing firestarter and a firewall service? firestarter is just a config gui, it in itself doesn't *do* anything. it just manipulates config files, which are probably already being used on bootup with iptables.

Yes, It is my Firewall Utility

I want it to load at bootup everytime if possible

I found out how to do it, here is info for somebody else that has same problem:

Q: How can I get Firestarter to load automatically when I log in as a regular user?
Firestarter running in the system trayNormally when you start Firestarter by clicking an icon or manually from a terminal, the system will prompt you for your root user's password. However, this is a bit of a hassle, especially if you want to run Firestarter all the time when logged in. In that case Firestarter can be loaded in the background when you log in with your regular user, without asking a password and minimized to the system tray (pictured right).
Giving the user permission to launch Firestarter without the root password
In order for a regular user to be able to launch Firestarter, the user must be given additional privileges. Edit your /etc/sudoers file in your favorite text editor and add the following line at the end:
username ALL= NOPASSWD: /usr/bin/firestarter
Note: Debian users should replace /usr/bin/firestarter with /usr/sbin/firestarter in the above line.
Simply replace username with whatever your login is. The specified user is now able to launch Firestarter without being prompted for a password using the command sudo firestarter.

Could you expand on that ?
So once I set what I set in FireStarter it is there, always, stopping torrent and others from coming to me ?

What should I do ?
Using IceWm there is a small window in the bottom right corner showing network activity. Even if no application is running, and no matter how I set fireStarter, there are some spikes indicating some sign of activity. What gives ? who is going where ? and why ? (single machine connected to ADSL)

Under NT 5 I can set that only Opera and FoxMail may come and go, and nobody else. How does that compare to the FireStarter concept ?
