firestarter-eth0 not ready (thsi is the one i use for the internet it works)


Hello all. I am tryign to setup firestarter. When i run it i get eth0 not ready. This is my internet nic and works fine as i am browsing the internet. I do a ifconfig -a and it shows the eth0 eth1 and another sit0. Anyone know how to fix this? Also a recommended free AV for linux?

you dont need AV for linux...
just dont abuse the root account, and you will stay virus free.

AV for linux does exist..but its only used to scan for windows Virii, which cannot harm linux. you only need it if you are planning on running a file server to serve windows clients.
