File transfer could not be started or it exited unexpectedly.

Dear Sir
I am getting error while connecting SSH as below.
File transfer could not be started or it exited unexpectedly.
Exit value 0 was returned. Most likely the sftp-server is not in the path of the user on the server-side.
Request you please help me to resolve the issue.
Thanks -- Murali Krishnan

Welcome to LQ!!!

What command did you run? You are trying to copy what and from where to where? Which OS you are using?
