File server / Advanced Permissions

I did a search for "Advanced File Permissions" and "File Premissions" so excuse my noobness. I was wondering if there is a feature in Red Hat 9 or other flaver that allow Multiple user/group permissions to be set? On the permissions tab there is only OWNER GROUP and OTHER. Is there anything similar to NFTS Permissions?
Thank You Kindly!!

lambmt,

I believe you can use umask to assign a set of permissions for a particular user or group.

Hi,

Obie's right: you can use umask, chmod, chgrp... for "basic" permissions settings. And if you want something better, you can use ACLs (for 2.6 kernel, it should be already installed... for 2.4 kernel, you must find kernel patch and acl utilities)
