dsh command using ssh

I have 42 blade servers and I have write an script for non-techie users (HelpDesk) to add users, groups, and set passwords.

However, I'm having a hard time getting a dsh command to work with ssh.

Details:
what I'm calling a dsh (dish) is just a for loop reading a file with all the servers listed.
(I'm an unix aix admin so I'm trying to mimic a control work station command aka dsh)

A control workstation on a sp-switch has a straight connection to the nodes in unix land.
In Linux land I'm getting prompted for a password everytime. I have the passphrase working between the 42 linux servers but not the password.

Do I need to do more work on my rsa and dsa files or is this just not possible?
I'm sure i could get this to work with rsh.

Not sure if I want to go the Active Directory (LDAP) route or NIS route just yet. I realize this would solve my problem as well.

Hope this is clear.

Any thoughts? What is everybody else doing?

Pete

Have you tried using public key based authentication?
