Distro to use?
Hi all.
I'm currently using Redhat 9.0 as an authentication server and webserver. I'm doing updates from The fedora-legacy project(http://www.fedoralegacy.org). What I want to ask is: From a security standpoint is it better to move to a distro where more development is being done? Such as Ubuntu or CentOs. Thanks in advance for any advice. Pico |
At some point the updates are going to be discontinued, so you will have to migrate anyway. I would choose something like CentOS because you are guaranteed to get security updates for around 5 years.
