Disk encryption solution for both Windows and Linux

Hi there,
I have a new 2 GB USB stick with lots of personal information, backups, encryption key-pairs etc.
I am afraid that some day it could be stolen and lost.

I am interested in a encryption solution (something like dm-cryption or aes-loop on linux) which is compatible on both linux and windows (I use both of them frequently). On-the-fly encryption would be great and should be easy use. I am interested especially in something under GPL license.
Does anyone know/use such a tool?

Thanks

Why not use gnupg? (gnupg.org) It's not on-the-fly but it's simple to encrypt files on the command line.

GnuPG is very secure and I use it for a long time to encrypt my passwords file and other sensitive information. I like it very much.
This time I need something o the fly which create a mapped valume whicg can be access in like any other partition. I have a complicated structure of directories on my USB stick and something like GNUPG whould be to complicated.

Thank you! Thank you!

That looks extremely interesting for exactly that kind of application. (As well as others, of course.)
