Disabliong snmp logging in a FC4 box

I tried adding this
Code:
logging /var/log/snmpdlog2 disabled
to
Code:
/etc/snmp/snmpd.conf
but I get this message when i start snmpd
Code:
snmpd[21719]: /etc/snmp/snmpd.conf: line 16: Warning: Unknown token: logging
what can i do??? the messages are logged to /var/log/messages and i want to stop that....

Code:
Apr? 7 23:27:25 xxxx snmpd[4232]: Connection from UDP: [xx.xx.xx.xxx]:2267
Apr? 7 23:27:25 xxxx snmpd[4232]: Received SNMP packet(s) from UDP: [xx.xx.xx.xxx]:2267
.
.
.

done by adding
Code:
snmpd.none
to the file
Code:
/etc/syslog.conf
in the line where it says to log anything to the file
Code:
/var/log/messages
