Disabling group login-s

Hi all,
I have a simple question:
I want to disable any login to users belonging in a certain group but I want them to be able to check their e-mail via Squirrelmail and imap/pop3.

Basically I want to deny any shell access to a speciffic group!

How do I do that on Fedora Core 2?

Thanks for your input!

Deny access by setting shell to something like "/bin/false". In any case you wouldn't need local accounts: Courier IMAP and Squirrel can work with virtual users.

I was thinking of changing their shell to a non-existing one, thus denying a log in. However, Sendmail may refuse to receive mail for these users...

Also I am running DOVECOT instead of Courier IMAP...

Any other solutions out there?
