deleted user account in sendmail how do i block incoming mail
 
hi people!
iam running a mail server using a sendmail v8.12...my questions is went a co-worker resign i just delete his/her account....my problem is how do i tell that this user does not work anymore in this company... went a mail comes in his/her account? and one thing there are some user account that has been receiving hundred of mail per day how do i block this mails(this user has been resign year ago) and what is access db how can i use this feature? thk!

went a co-worker resign i just delete his/her account.
If you have no company policy, backing up would have been good. Especially if no one knows what he actually was working on :-]

my problem is how do i tell that this user does not work anymore in this company
In /etc/mail/virtusertable, add line:
name@addre.ss error:nouser User unknown
Restart Sendmail, test.

thk! unSpawnfor for your advice:) but some of my friends told me it is not a good idea to just delete an account?? and i just prove that went i deleted one off my user account year ago hundred off spam mail keep sending to that account.... my solution do that situation is..... i redirect all email to that account to /dev/null. but even it automatically deleted the mail i think it doesnt resolve my problem:( now my network is to busy to received others mail because of that annoying account:(
