Talking Datapipe--intersting ports--

Hey,
did anyone tried to remotely monitor computers across a LAN using Datapipe and google desktop search?

in case it worked with you , could you please specify me the ports that you used and explain why and give few other intersting ports?

hope that my question is not too vague, but anyway the one who knows this specific method should understand what i am talking about

Cheers!!!
