Cyberdefender with Linux?

It's time for me to renew my subscription to AVG, but it runs too slow and I've just now been overly excited about it, so I'm thinking of switching to a different paid version. I've been looking at Cyberdefender, as well as a few others, but I think I've decided on Cyberdefender cuz my neighbor swears by it.. It scans for trojans, malware, spyware and even has ID theft protection. It also comes with computer technical support for any computer issues.

I also like that it is a NASDAQ company and traded publically; that's pretty cool. DOes anyone have any experience with CYberdefender?

Apart from the whole "Is AV necessary?" discussion and if this actually is a GNU/Linux product, you don't state how many AV solutions you actually measured the timing for: every AV scanner needs to load signatures on startup so AFAIK "slow" is relative. "Not overly excited about" is not an objective statement, it would be good to know what you mean exactly. Low detection rate? Too many false positives?

Testdrive some AV solutions then decide. I mean, shouldn't you make decisions based on facts rather than fiction?

I can only wonder how much of all of that applies to the GNU/Linux platform and how well it performs compared to other products...

If you want to pay for product support instead of a product then that's cool ;-p

If you're a Fortune 500 then you will want to ensure you protect your investments and deal with companies that have a sustained track record showing innovation and longevity: IMHO a company being publicly traded tells you more about how investors look at it or how it's managed than it does about the quality of its products...
