Configuring /etc/pam.d/passwd module

Hi all

I'm using RH9 and am facing some problems configuring my /etc/pam.d/passwd file.

I am trying to restrict the users such that when they change their password, it must be of minimum 10 characters.

Here's how my /etc/pam.d/passwd file looks like

Code:

auth                required        pam_stack.so service=system-auth
account                required        pam_stack.so service=system-auth
#password        required        pam_stack.so service=system-auth

# My own additions
password        required        /lib/security/pam_cracklib.so retry=3 minlen=10
password        required        /lib/security/pam_pwdb.so md5 use_authtok

I commented out the 3rd line if you noticed.

Any idea?

Put the cracklib line in /etc/pam.d/system-auth.

Alright. It's working now.

Thanks unSpawn :)
