Unhappy Change Root Password

I'm trying to change my root passord on my solaris box. Can you tell me how to do this. I log on as a user then change to a super user.

After you change to root with su, have you tried the passwd command?

Yes but that change my password and not the root password.
OK i'm all set now I had to do A passwd root. This changed the correct password.
