Centralizedd Linux Antivirus Server for Windows XP Clients
The situation I want to ask is that we have a master Linux server and slave Linux servers and workstations running on Windows XP. We want Antivirus support for Linux server and Windows client in such a way that the master server get updates from the internet and send those updates to its slave servers (running on Linux). The slave servers then automatically send these updates to their respective clients (running on Windows XP). Moreover, the client automatically updates the virus definitions. You can assume the analogy as in that of Microsoft Antivirus Server setup.
Is there any product (Properietary or open source) ?

Look into bitdefender, and see if they can help. They have both Windows and Linux support.
I've never been concerned about virus, etc. in Slackware. I even open and view them when I get them in my email.
I did use Computer Associates products even back when they were free, and they always caught virii and worms before Norton and others. So I'd like to plug the company, though I can say nothing about *nix and anti-virus software.
The question is not secure the Linux servers, as Linux is far more secure than Windows. The only problem was to setup Antivirus server on Linux for WNIDOWS clients coz we dont want any server to be running on Windows
