CCTV, BlueOnyx, BlueQuartz?

I just have a couple of questions here.

Are prepackaged easy install Linux distributions popular like as in with BlueOnyx or BlueQuartz? Are they hard to be made reproducably? Expensive to design?

A) There should be a software package for this as easy as a web form, complete with coordiates as a matter or URL for software, data, administration function, etc. - some solution to the virtualization madness.

B) WHat about a CCTV DRV os package like BlueOnyx? Some sort of loadabe system, whcih does nothing but low overhead, easy install dedication to DVR - something with a ultramodern design webpage, ought to be popular, don;t coin me here, I simply request it be open source, work with USB, and ie free.

I'm not real sure what your first two questions are, but as far as B, you can use mythtv. If you are looking for more of a turnkey solution like bluequartz/blueonynx have a look at mythbuntu or mythdora. It has a lot of features, but I believe you can disable those modules. It's been a while since I've looked at it but overall it's a great free package.

Smile There IS a CCTV program-ZoneMinder and a distrib for it!

There IS a program for that - ZONEMINDER. It's very well made.
Integrates pre-existing stuff like Video4Linux2, MySQL and Apache
very nicely.

There are a few slim distributions geared towards it, such as ZMLarch Linux (Zoneminder version of ArchLinux). If you buy a BT8x8-based
DVR card, such as the ones sold at blucherry.net, you can have it up and running very quickly.

Check out www.ZoneMinder.com
