Cant login with root

Hey.

I changed my password for the root account, and now it wont let me login.

I cant see how I could of mistaken the spelling if I have to type it twice, and i made sure it was right.

So now what can I do to get my account back? I dont have webmin or anything installed (guess I should have).

Im using mandrake 9, i still have the cds.

And i didnt make a boot disk or anything of the like.

thanks in advance for any help

in the lilo boot screen, press ctrl-x to get a non menu prompt, and run "linux single" or "linux init 1" this will load to single user mode, automatically logging you in as root, you can then chagnge your password.
