The simple answer is don't self host. Not to imply simple. The ISP has rules, as does many "host"ing services. You can use a VPN for outbound traffic, but for inbound requests you'll need something more than that. All of which tends to cost IRL money. And come with a set of rules / guidelines. Which implies reading and compliance.

Most blockage I see from my ISP (aside from blocked inbound ports) is DNS related, so using a non-ISP dns server gets you past that in most cases. Many hosting services offer alternative ports, which may not be currently blocked by your ISP. Like port 26 instead of 25 for smtp/email. Basically don't use an ISP for anything more than a dumb pipe. And an unreliable one at that. Plus it's not even anonymous since it has billing information and a billing address.

The 'why' can be found here:

Having to report a thread three times for his behavior, and nothing gets done, is what triggers comments to 'taunt' people, as you put it.

You know nothing believe me, I'm talking about voice over IP here!
You are reporting me for some reason I don't know. Racism may be. Are you JG ?

The 'reason' is because you're asking questions against the LQ Rules. You show no effort of your own, provide no details, and are a nasty person, period. I have no idea where you are, or anything about you, other than what you display by your behavior. If you act like this in person, I'm surprised you have lasted as long as you have.

Your other threads show why you get 'blocked'...you're a spammer, or you're trying to be. Either way, you'll get little help. And aren't you an "RHCE Instructor", as you've said in other thread?? Shouldn't you have at least *SOME* knowledge of your own? Doesn't appear as if you do.

Cease causing unnecessary irritation and friction.
Try to fit in (maybe easier if you focus solely on technical Q/A) or choose another board on the 'net.
No more of this nonsense.
