Talking blocking squirrelmail

I'd like to block some computers on local network to access the webmail (squirrelmail). I'd tried to use the follow command but it's not working. Can anybody help me please?

Example:

iptables -A INPUT -p tcp -s 192.168.0.3 --dport 143 -j DROP

thanks!
Ken

If they are using squirrelmail then it runs over http - the standard port being 80.

Thanks for the answer but I read that squirrelmail uses port 143. Besides when I used iptables to block the port 143, i could block the squirrelmail for all users:

iptables -A INPUT -p tcp --dport 143 -j DROP

Why I can't put a specific IP to block access into this command? Do you have any other options?

Ken

Port 143 is the port used for IMAP. The web server communicates with the imap server. The user never connects directly to the imap server when using a web based email client.
